We are responsible for preventing environmental problems and monitoring environmental regulations. Among other things, we are responsible for air and water protection, noise abatement and waste management supervision in Espoo. Espoo’s Environmental Protection Unit monitors and advises construction sites to reduce environmental damage. We respond to residents’ feedback and assess the risk of environmental pollution at construction sites. We give advice, for example, on construction site water management.
