Ämmässuo operations
The Ämmässuo waste treatment centre is located on the border between Espoo and Kirkkonummi, which is managed by the Helsinki Region Environmental Services joint municipality authority (HSY). There are various circular economy activities in the area and the name of the area is currently Ämmässuo eco-industry centre. In addition to these, HSY processes biowaste from the capital region in Ämmässuo, and special waste is accepted at the landfill. Within the City of Espoo, supervision is carried out by the Environmental and Building Control Centre.
