Pre-primary education consists of activities that support the learning, inclusion, development and growth of children. These involve discussion, playing, sports and exercise, exploration, experimentation, information acquisition and problem-solving. Pre-primary education bolsters children’s self-esteem, offering positive learning experiences as well as opportunities for diverse interaction with other children in the same age group. Pre-primary education is compulsory
Before the beginning of compulsory education, children must attend one year of pre-primary education or other activities that meet the objectives of pre-primary education.
Pre-primary education is offered at both day-care centres and schools for four hours per day between 9 am and 1 pm.
