eVaka e-service for early childhood education

1. To register for eVaka in your browser, go to: https://espoonvarhaiskasvatus.fi(external link, opens in a new window)
2. You can always log in to the system with strong authentication.
3. The child’s legal guardian(s) can always log in to the system with strong authentication. You can also create an account in the system by choosing “Enable email login” from “Personal information”.

1. Sign in to eVaka with strong authentication.

2. Select "Personal information"

3. Select ”Change password”.

4. Pay attention to password requirements.

1. You can access and edit your personal data in eVaka, which requires you to authenticate using your online banking credentials or mobile certificate
2. Click on the dot next to your name in the top bar and select "My details"
3. In the "My details" section you can add or change: Your Telephone number and E-mail address
4.  Click “Edit”.and make the necessary additions
5. Once you are finished, click “Save”.

2. If you cannot find an answer here, please send an e-mail to the address evakatuki (at) espoo. You can always log in to the system with strong authentication. You can also use this route to read messages and book attendance. 

eVaka works in your browser. To make it easier, you can create a bookmark on your phone’s home screen that acts as a shortcut.

1. You can report your child as being sick or mark another kind of absence (e.g. a day off) in the eVaka calendar.

The system only sends guardian messages to the child’s legal guardian. In exceptional cases, the sending of messages can be agreed separately with the head of the early childhood education unit and with the staff of the child’s group.

In eVaka, all children under 18 years old for whom you are the official guardian are displayed. The guardian information comes directly from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV). If you have completed all guardianship-related actions with DVV, there might be a delay in the synchronization of the information. You can inquire about the progress of the process directly from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.
