As a responsible hiker...

I favour marked routes as it reduces trampling damage.

I find out in advance where I can, for example, ride a mountain bike, ride a horse or come ashore.

I take any litter with me instead of leaving it in nature.

I only make fires on the marked campfire sites and only when there is no forest fire warning in force.

I only camp in permitted locations.

I keep my dog on a leash.

Right to roam and outdoor etiquette

Everyone has the right to move around in nature on foot or by skis or bicycle. Picking berries and mushrooms, angling and boating are also allowed. In nature reserves, however, the right to roam and activities such as mountain biking, coming ashore, making a fire and camping can be restricted. Respect nature and follow the outdoor etiquette!
