Plans

You can follow the planning in Espoo and your local area via the City’s website or the Espoo map service. On this page, we have put together links to help you find pending plans, land use reviews and plans currently in force.

Detailed plans and master plans

When a city planning or master planning process starts, a dedicated web page is set up for the plan. That site contains the latest information on the progress of the plan.

You can find the plans using the search function on the website.

  • For a list of plans, filter the results by selecting Urban projects as the content type and then selecting a more specific project type: Local detailed plans or Master plans.
  • You can also filter the results by a specific area.
  • If you are looking for a specific plan, you can search by plan name or area number if you know it.

Land use reviews

In addition to master plans and local detailed plans, the City Planning Department carries out other regional planning work. These are collectively known as land use reviews. Land use reviews include district plans, regional development objectives and envisioning work. Their aim is to gather information and increase understanding to help with town planning.
