Annual grants for cultural activities
The Culture Committee grants annual grants to professional art and cultural communities, basic art educational institutions, local heritage and residents’ associations, and art and culture associations.
Application groups and instructions
Annual grants for cultural activities for the next calendar year can be applied for once a year. Before applying, please review the assessment criteria.
The application must be accompanied by:
- An annual report, financial statements and an audit or performance audit report for the preceding year. If the grant was awarded for the previous year, this information must be provided together with the report. The report is to be attached to the new grant application.
- An operating plan for the application year and current year.
- A budget for the application year and current year.
- An extract of a register that authenticates the community’s authority to sign documents.
- Rules of the institution or association (for new applicants or when the rules change).
The annual grants for cultural activities are decided by the Culture Committee in its December meeting.
Report of the annual grant
If your organisation is a so-called old applicant, it is advisable to submit the report for the previous year’s annual grant (2024) together with the application. The application deadline is the same as for the report, i.e. May 15 at 15:45 (professional art communities and basic art education institutes) or September 30 at 15:45 (cultural and residents´associations). By submitting the report form as an attachment to the application, you do not need to send us the previous year's attachments twice.
