Cooperation with NGOs
We work closely with NGOs in Espoo. NGOs help us with the wellbeing of our residents and bring civil society perspectives to our decision-making.Organisation grants
We give out financial grants to organisations based in Espoo annually. We give out grants for four categories: cultural grants for cultural and artistic activities; sports grants for sports organisations; youth grants for youth work, young people’s own projects and support for young people’s summer employment; and organisation grants for promoting wellbeing, health and social inclusion for wellbeing work that does not fall into any of the first three categories.
Organise activities in city facilities
We offer a wide range of options for both small and bigger gatherings. Some of our facilities – such as libraries – do not cost anything to reserve. Organisations can often get benefits for facilities managed by their own “home unit”, even if those facilities are paid: youth organisations are given priority and get a discount for the use of school and youth facilities, sports organisations get similar discounts on sports facilities, and so on.

Cooperation forums for the city and NGOs
Working together with us can mean more than operating within the existing networks. For example, libraries are involved in many types of cooperation with local organisations and associations. Get in touch: osallisuus.kirjasto@espoo.fi. Check out info on volunteering at a library.
