The Leppävaara outdoor swimming pool is Espoo's summer oasis, located next to Leppävaara's indoor swimming pool. It is a popular place among swimmers on sunny days, but the warm pool water ensures an enjoyable experience in colder weather too.
There is a 50-metre pool, a multi-purpose pool, a wading pool, a three-lane water slide, a children's playground, a beach volleyball court, a basketball court and an outdoor gym.
Visitors to the outdoor swimming pool can use the Leppävaara indoor swimming pool's jump tower and diving pool, which are in use even when the indoor swimming pool is otherwise closed.
The outdoor and indoor swimming pools have separate changing rooms.
The price of a single ticket is different than in Espoo's other swimming pools. You can also pay with multi-admission and season wristbands, which are a valid payment method at all swimming pools in Espoo. Visiting time at the outdoor swimming pool is limited to three hours.
The outdoor swimming pool is open from spring to autumn. The start and end dates of the season may vary from year to year depending on the weather.

The 6 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is less than 3.6 m.
The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated and it uses movement-guiding surface material.
The main entrance
The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.
In the facility
The sports facilities are located on floor -1.
For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
The service point has directions to the different facilities and uses movement-guiding surface material.
The indoor walkways have a ramp over 6 m long with an intermediate landing, with handrails on both sides.
There is a heated storage area for wheelchairs and prams next to the entrance.
The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
The customer service/cashier's desk is located on the same floor as the entrance.
The customer service/cashier's desk can be found easily. The desk is accessible to customers standing only.
At the customer service/cashier's desk, you can borrow a wheelchair, shower wheelchair, rollator walker.
The facility features a quiet area for guide and aid dogs.
Dressing room, shower room and sauna
The dressing rooms are located on the same floor as the sports facilities.
The facility does not have an accessible dressing room. The men's/women's dressing rooms must be used instead. The door of the dressing room opens easily manually.
The shower room is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. An embossed sign is provided next to the door of the shower room. The door opens easily manually.
The shower room has a more spacious and accessible showering spot with a seat as well as a support railing.
The sauna is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door opens easily manually.
The sauna has room for one wheelchair. It is possible to move onto the lowest bench from the wheelchair. The upper benches can be accessed through easily navigable steps.
Sports facilities
Room is available next to the pools for storing aids during swimming.
The large/deep pool features accessible entry via gently-sloping steps. The steps have handrails on both sides.
The children's pool features accessible entry via gently-sloping steps. The steps have handrails on both sides.
The teaching pool features accessible entry via gently-sloping steps. The steps have handrails on both sides.
Seating area
The sports facility features a spectators' seating area whose stairs have handrails on one side. The seats have been highlighted from their surroundings with contrast.
The seating area features 10 accessible spots suitable for a wheelchair, which are located in the back row. The accessible spots provide an unobstructed view of the event.
There is sufficient room by the accessible spots for wheelchairs to pass each other.
The accessible section of the seating area can be accessed via an over 6 m long ramp with an intermediate platform, with handrails on both sides.

The swimming time ends 40 minutes after the cash desk is closed. The outdoor swimming pool is closed an hour after the cash desk is closed.
