Keski-Espoo Swimming pool's gym

The gym offers both guided exercise and independent training. The gym is divided into two parts.

The gym space reservations apply to both parts of the gym. Both parts are available during the gym's independent training hours.

The women's gym session is on Sundays from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

Women-only gym sessions are strating on 6 September 2026

The first women-only independent gym session at the Keski-Espoo swimming pool will take place on Sunday 6 September 2026. Women-only gym sessions will be held on Sundays from 9:00 to 10:30.

The gym, swimming pool and changing rooms are reserved exclusively for women during women-only sessions. The facilities will be opened to other visitors at 11:00.

Additional information

Women and girls (all those who will turn at least 15 years old during the current year) are welcome to the women-only gym sessions.
The sessions will also have an all-women staff.
You do not need to sign up for the women-only gym session.
You can use the gym with a joint ticket for the swimming pool and the gym. There is no separate gym ticket, as the changing rooms are the same as for the swimming pool.
Please note that the café at the swimming pool is closed in the morning. You can buy small snacks and drinks from the ticket counter during the women-only session.
The facilities will be opened to other visitors at 11:00. The swimming pools are closed from 10:30 to 11:00.

The route to the main entrance

The 3 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is at least 3.6 m.
The route to the entrance is smooth and sufficiently wide and it uses movement-guiding surface material.

The main entrance

The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with an opening button.
The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.

In the facility

The sports facilities are located on floor 1.
For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. The button for the exit floor stands out from the other buttons. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
The service point has directions to the different facilities and uses movement-guiding surface material.
The indoor walkways have a ramp over 6 m long with an intermediate landing, with handrails on both sides.
There is a heated storage area for wheelchairs and prams next to the entrance.
The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
The customer service/cashier's desk is located on the same floor as the sports facilities.
The customer service/cashier's desk can be found easily. The desk is accessible to customers standing only.
At the customer service/cashier's desk, you can borrow a wheelchair, shower wheelchair.
The facility features a quiet area for guide and aid dogs.

Dressing room, shower room and sauna

The dressing rooms are located on the same floor as the sports facilities.
The facility has a separate accessible dressing room. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open. The doorway has a high threshold.
The separate accessible dressing room features a dressing bench and sufficient room for an assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. There are lockers in the dressing room. An accessible toilet is connected to the dressing room.
An accessible shower room is available in connection to the separate accessible dressing room. The door opens easily manually. The doorway has no threshold.
The shower room has a more spacious and accessible showering spot with a seat and armrest as well as a support railing.
An accessible sauna is available in connection to the separate accessible dressing room. The door opens easily manually.
The sauna has room for two wheelchairs. It is possible to move onto the lowest bench from the wheelchair. The upper benches can be accessed through easily navigable steps with handrails.

Sports facilities

The door of the gym opens easily by hand. Unobstructed mobility with a wheelchair or other aids is possible in the gym. The equipment can also be accessed with aids. Some of the equipment can be used from a wheelchair. The equipment is within everyone's reach (storage height 0.8-1.2 m).
The gym features contrast differences between the floor and wall and between the floor and equipment. There is glare in the gym.
