Youth centres, mobile youth work
Practical training positions are available to youth work students (youth and community instructors, bachelors of social science, community pedagogues). The working hours are mostly on evenings and weekends. Youth center trainee’s work mainly consists of encountering young people and planning and evaluating these encounters. Suitable candidates will be interviewed before the training position is confirmed. If your internship starts in August, please send the application no later than 20.5. Internship applications starting later in the fall are processed from the beginning of August. Applications are not processed in June and July.
Ohjaamotalo, outreach youth work
Practical training positions are available to university students who are finalising their studies (bachelors of social science, community pedagogues or other applicable degrees). As an Ohjaamotalo trainee, you will participate in our customer work at Startup Points and Discord. You will also get acquainted with our communication and the operations of a multidisciplinary service package. In outreach youth work, you will become familiar with individual guidance and service counselling for young people who have fallen out of education or working life. Youth services create opportunities for young people to do hobbies, spend free time and experience experiences. You can participate in the activity, e.g. at youth facilities, at various events and online. Youth services support the activities of Espoo's youth associations, youth organizations or youth action groups with grants, by offering spaces for rent and camp equipment to borrow.
Hobby search is a service which provides information on activities available for young people in Espoo. The Hobby search includes activities offered by the City of Espoo, as well as activities organised by various youth associations and companies.
The service provides information and the opportunity to enrol in various activity groups. The service provider has the right to decide which activities can be enrolled for online, and in which cases an e-mail, phone call, or personal enrolment is necessary.
