KULPS Culture path

In Espoo, cultural education for children and young people in pre-primary and basic education is carried out through the KULPS Culture and Sports Path model.

The KULPS Culture Path consists of two categories:

  • In the Once a School Year category, you can select one of the services for your group during the school year.
  • In the As Much as You Like category, there is no limit to the number of services that can be reserved.

On this page, you will find links to the contents available in the school year 2023–2024, sorted by age group and art form. For some services, there is a quota for the use of the service. In this case, the service provider can only accept a certain number of groups. The contents are free of charge for the schools and pupils.

Cultural education models in Espoo

The KULPS Culture Path makes culture and art an equal part of the school day in all preschools and comprehensive schools in Espoo. In addition to KULPS, Espoo has developed the Culture Call operating model for day-care centres to make art and cultural education part of children’s daily life starting from early childhood education. For Espoo’s upper secondary level students, a pilot of the culture path was launched in January 2023. All the operating models support the work of teachers in implementing Espoo’s pre-primary and basic education curricula and education plans, and they provide various learning environments and situations for the teachers’ use.
