Annual grant for professional artists
The working grant for professional artists is intended for professional artists in Espoo irrespective of the art form, and it is awarded to one artist for one year at a time. The next application period, for 2025, will open on April 1, 2024 and will end on Sptember 30, 2024 at 15:45.
The grant is paid on a monthly basis and it includes pension and accident insurance contributions under the Farmers’ Pension Act. Further information is available at the MELA website(external link, opens in a new window).
The artist grant awarded by the City of Espoo corresponds with the artist grants awarded by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland. The grant is EUR 2153,23 per month.

Working grant applications are to be submitted by the deadline to the City of Espoo Registry Office at P.O. Box 1, 02070 City of Espoo. The application documents and appendices may also be submitted electronically to the Registry Office at kirjaamo@espoo.fi. The application must be accompanied by
- A curriculum vitae
- A work plan for the year
- A description of how the artistic work will be visible in Espoo or renew the art field in Espoo.
The decisions on grant recipients will be made at the December meeting of the Culture Committee.
