Construction of Keilalahdentie and Keilalahdenpuisto

At Keilalahdenpuisto, Keilalahdentie street currently runs through a building plot on which the authorised pension company Varma will build an office block called Keilaniemen Portti. The contract connected to Varma’s office block project also involves construction in a new location pursuant to the new Keilalahdentie detailed plan and in Keilalahdenpuisto where, at the start of the contract, diversionary routes will be established for the duration of the work. Once traffic has moved to the new street section in 2026 as estimated, the park will be built as planned.

In connection with the construction of Keilalahdentie, the water main, wastewater sewer and storm drain as well as the electric, communications and data-transmission cables and the district heating pipeline will be transferred to the street area to be built. The street will be asphalted and paving and street lighting will be installed. The contract also involves the construction of green street areas.

During July, pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be moved to diversionary routes and a temporary street for vehicle traffic and pedestrians will be built in Keilalahdenpuisto.  The diversionary route for vehicle traffic and directing the traffic to the diversionary route will be implemented after this.

Traffic will be directed to the new Keilalahdentie at the end of 2026.
