City of Espoo’s facility and course booking system will change in November. According to the preliminary plan, the new system will be introduced on 25 November 2026. The current system will close for bookings and cancellations permanently on 9 November, but you will still be able to log in and view your details until 25 November. Book sports facilities

The sports facilities of Espoo Sports and Exercise Services can be reserved using the online sports facilities reservation system (in Finnish). Log into the system using online banking credentials or the Mobile Certificate. It is also possible to browse the reservation system without logging in. The system is optimised for Chrome and Firefox browsers. All the reservations are chargeable.

Application periods for sports facilities 2026

The application period for time slots in the sports facilities listed below is 8 December 2025–16 January 2026
• Athletics fields from 2 May to 27 September 2026

• Summertime slots in schools’ sports facilities from 4 May to 12 June 2026 and from 3 August to 14 August 2026 (Ruusutorppa, Karakallio) 

• Summertime slots in swimming halls from 1 June to 9 August 2026

• Time slots in Suna school gym under users’ self-supervision from 17 August to 13 December 2026 and from 4 January to 23 May 2027

When you log in, you can select whether to make a reservation on behalf of a sports club or as a private person. It is important for contact persons to indicate that they represent a sports club after logging in so that the reservations are done in the name of the sports club. After login, the contact person always has the opportunity to update his/her own information and the club’s information.

The tennis booking calendar is open from 11 April 2026.

From 1 August 2026, a sigle session costs EUR 10/hour (incl. VAT). Courts can currently be reserved in Leppävaara, Matinkylä and Espoonlahti until 4 October 2026 and Puolarmaari until 27 September 2026.

Tennis courts are booked through the electronic sports facilities reservation system. You must log in using personal online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. Bookings must start or end on the hour or half-hour. Payment is made at the time of booking via online banking or credit card. All bookings are binding.

Please note: If you use your browser in incognito or private mode and pay with MobilePay, you will be redirected to the login page after returning from the bank and will need to log in again.

Sports Services is not responsible for cancellations caused by payment issues or by failure to return to the online service after completing the payment.

A confirmation message is sent for successful bookings – without it, the booking is not valid, even if it temporarily appears in the system. Cancellations or rescheduling are not possible. If the booking is subject to a fee, payments will not be refunded for unused time slots. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions or otherwise unused bookings.
