Fixed orienteering points

Orienteering offers adventures, experiences and exercise in local nature. Espoo’s fixed control points are located in both easy and more challenging places. All control points have been fixed to a tree and are equipped with reflectors so they are also well suited for night orienteering. You can plan a course that suits your schedule and skill level. You can access the islands by scheduled archipelago boats. You can find the maps (A4) and print them on orienteering areas' websites. The fixed control points of 2024 will be in place until 20.4.2025, after which they will be updated for 2025.

Orientation instructions

You can start from any area on the map. Particularly good starting points are the points marked with a triangle on the map. There are 1-3 points marked with triangle depending on the map.

The check points can be connected into a track as you wish, and going around them does not require special equipment in addition to a printed map. In addition to the map, it is good to have a compass, transparent map plastic and water-resistant sports shoes.
