Renovation of external surfaces of buildings and other structures, notification

A person renovating the external surfaces of buildings and other external structures (such as bridges or handrails) must notify the Environment and Building Control Department in writing about the renovation at least 14 days before starting the work. The work must always be announced in advance to residents, care and educational institutions and other parties within the scope of the work that the work may cause harm or disturbance to. The operator must also negotiate sufficient noise and dust abatement with the sensitive parties, which the operation may unreasonably harm or disturb (for example, day-care centres and schools).
