Founding a nature reserve
The Espoo Environment Department prepares proposals for the protection of nature reserves as well as maintenance and usage plans that are ratified by the Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. The protection of natural monuments is decided upon by the Environment Committee. Any maintenance operations are ordered by the Environment Department and carried out by the Public Works Department.
