Environmental permit

An environmental permit is needed for activities causing risk of environmental contamination. The licensing requirement is based on the Environmental Protection Act and the decree adopted thereunder that defines the activities under the licensing requirement. Environmental permits are granted by municipalities and regional state administrative agencies. The granting of the permit requires, among other things, that the activity does not cause health hazards or other significant environmental contamination or its risk. For certain activities, the environmental permit is replaced by a registering policy if the activity meets certain criteria.
