Summary
Bemböle skola is an old, protected school building. It is located on a plot designated as a block area for general-purpose buildings. The current intended use of the plot will be changed so that commercial/service facilities and/or offices can be built there. In addition, the opportunity to construct residential buildings in the northern part of the plot will be investigated. The plan amendment will improve the city’s opportunities to sell the old school building and plot, as well as create both jobs and new residences in the area. The planning will take into account the fact that it is a question of an old area that is of great importance to the cityscape, as well as the architectural and culture-historical value of the old school building. Traffic noise must also be taken into account.
