Streets and trafficTapiolaThe City of Espoo Public Works Department has started preparing a street plan for Niittyportti. The street called Niittyportti is currently missing a pedestrian and bicycle way between Haukilahdentie and Koulusillankuja. The Technical Services Committee approved the plans on 14 December 2022.

The pedestrian and bicycle way will be implemented on the southern side of the street and a new pedestrian crossing will be added to the western side of Niittysillanpuisto. No changes will be made to the roadway or lighting. The efficiency of drainage will be ensured.
Construction work is expected to begin in 2024 at the earliest.
