Local detailed plansTapiolaThe aim of the amendment to the local detailed plan is to preserve the characteristics and urban landscape of Itäranta residential area, and to serve as a foundation for the renovation and maintenance of the area. The area is part of Tapiola’s original garden city, and it is located on the southern side of Tapiolantie, on the shore of Otsolahti. In the east, the plan area is bordered by Hagalundintie. Proposal is available for public review 29.5–27.6.2023.

The plan amendment is an update to the old 1960s building plan, still in force in Itäranta, allowing the plan to conform to current practices. The intention is to preserve the valuable buildings and environment with plan symbols and protection orders. The borders of block, street and park areas, as well as the plan’s content, will be amended as necessary. Furthermore, the possibility of replacing the carpark at Harjuviita 5 with housing units will be reviewed.
