Take part in a Voxit discussion: How have you been treated when using the services of the City of Espoo?
Available on Voxit in March and April, this discussion aims to survey Espoo residents’ experiences of using the services of the City of Espoo. By participating in the discussion, you can influence the development of Espoo’s services and interactions with residents.
What do you think of the following statements? “The encounter does not have to be friendly, a business-like approach is enough”, “I have experienced discrimination in the city’s services”, “I usually feel that city personnel care about me.”
The Voxit discussion on residents’ interactions with the personnel of city services will open on 26 March and close on 21 April. All Espoo residents are welcome to take part in the discussion.

Employees and residents of the City of Espoo interact with each other every day in different contexts, for example, in schools, early childhood education and care, libraries, culture events, sports facilities, youth facilities, residents’ events, employment services, service centres and customer service.
What is your experience of these encounters with city employees and what kind of impression have you gotten of city services – positive or negative? Have your interactions with city employees gone smoothly and have you felt appreciated by them? Have you felt heard, and do you feel that you have solved your problem together with the employee? What factors make an encounter good or bad?

Residents’ opinions help develop city services
Successful encounters and the experience of being heard improve inclusion and trust, which at best builds trust in society at large.
Espoo surveys the quality of resident encounters in its services by organising Voxit discussions for both residents and personnel in spring 2026.
Observations made by residents and personnel in the discussion will be used to prepare an encounter training programme for Espoo personnel. The results will also be communicated to the city units to be used in the development of services.
An easy, safe and inspiring way to exert influence
Voxit discussions are an easy, safe and fun way to exert influence. Participation in the discussion is anonymous and takes place online on the digital Voxit discussion platform by clicking the link to the discussion. You can participate in your native language by using the translation button.
This is how it works:
- You vote on statements related to the topic by selecting yes / no / skip.
- You can also add statements of your own to the discussion. The discussion develops and takes shape when the participants vote on the statements and add new statements.
- You can respond to as many statements as you want. Your responses are saved automatically after each statement.
- You can participate in the discussion several times and vote on the new statements added to it.
- In this discussion, new statements can be added until 9 April. After this, the statements that have already been added can be voted on.
- The Voxit platform is accessible, secure and moderated.
