Some residents’ parks closed between Christmas and Epiphany — seven parks open as usual
Some residents’ parks will be closed for the festive season. Seven residents’ parks will be open as usual, except for public holidays.
All 16 residents’ parks in Espoo will be open as usual until Christmas. Before Christmas, many parks will organise Christmas activities, such as Christmas card workshops or Christmas-themed singalongs. Several parks will also host their own Christmas party.
On Friday 22 December 2023, the residents' parks will close at 15:00. The parks will also be closed on public holidays.
After Christmas, some parks will stay closed until Epiphany. The Järvenperä, Pisa, Soukka, Kylätalo Palttina, Matinkylä, Mankkaa, Viherkallio and Perkkaa residents’ parks will be closed between 27 December 2023 and 5 January 2024. In addition, the Latokaski residents’ park will be closed between 27 December 2023 and 1 January 2024
Customers will be able to use the yard areas of the closed parks for play and recreation, but no staff will be present and the indoor facilities, including toilets, will not be available.
Other parks will be open as usual in December–January, except for public holidays. Please note, however, that during the school Christmas holiday, early childhood education clubs will not be organised in the parks. Nor will there be activities or snacks available for schoolchildren.
Wintery activities for the holiday season
The parks that remain open will provide all kinds of fun activities during the festive season.
Seven parks will be open as usual from Monday to Friday between Christmas and Epiphany, except for public holidays. In addition, the Latokaski residents’ park will be open as of 2 January. So bundle up and head to one of our parks for some wintery fun.
Between 27 and 29 December and at the beginning of January, residents’ parks will offer all kinds of activities, including winter-themed arts and crafts and snow play. More detailed information is available on the park’s own webpages in Finnish. You can find links to the webpages in the list below.

The residents’ parks are open Monday–Friday between 8:00 and 16:00, except for public holidays. The yard areas are also available for play outside these opening hours. Experience the magic of winter in our residents’ parks!
