Espoo city residents are invited to participate in the Healthy Finland survey
This autumn, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) will conduct a survey called Healthy Finland in which we participate. A total of 5600 Espoo city residents over the age of 20 who were selected randomly will be invited to participate in the study. The study will examine such things as the health, quality of life, inclusion and experiences of social and health care services of residents.
Research data can be used to monitor the health and welfare of residents and to develop city services. The data can also be compared to data from other regions and national data.
A national Healthy Finland survey is conducted every two years. The previous survey was carried out in autumn 2022. Cities can also commission a separate survey to monitor the health and wellbeing of residents in their own area in more detail.
Each response is important
Those invited to take part in the survey have been selected randomly from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s data. Each person who was sent an invitation to the study represents persons of the same age and gender in their area, and none of the respondents can be replaced with another.
The survey will open in September. You can respond to the survey online or by using a paper form in Finnish, Swedish, English or Russian.
It is important that every person who received an invitation participates in the study. By responding to the survey, you can help promote the wellbeing of urban residents and the development of services.
All respondents to the Healthy Finland survey will be entered into a draw(external link) for 70 K-Group gift cards of EUR 50.
Results to be published in spring 2024
The results will be reported in spring 2024 on THL's website. The results will be given to cities for use in decision-making. It will not be possible to identify individual respondents from the responses.
