The City of Espoo will once again organise a plot draw intended for private individuals. Those interested can apply for the plots in September. The Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee of the City Board will decide on the plot draw and its terms at its meeting on Monday 8 May.

The draw includes 57 plots. Of these, 20 are located in Latokaski, 16 in Kalajärvi, 9 in Kurttila, 5 in Saunalahti, 3 in Henttaa, 2 in Lintuvaara, 1 in Kauklahti and 1 in Nupuri. All the areas are popular low-rise residential areas.

The Kalajärvi plots are located in Kalajärvenkallio, near the lake. The Kurttila plots are located in the maritime area of Kallvik and in the Mäkitupa area. The Saunalahti plots are located in Saunaniemi near the sea.

The surface areas of the plots vary from 435 square metres to 1,101 square metres, and their permitted building volume is 109–286 square metres. It is proposed to the subcommittee that the recipients of the plots may choose whether to buy or lease the plot. In the previous plot draw in the spring of 2022, the majority of the plots were leased.

The application period is 4–29 September. More information on the plots and the plot draw will be available on Espoo’s website at the beginning of August. In the plot draw, preference will be given to Espoo residents.
