Waste bins out of use
During the winter season, some of the waste bins along recreational routes and skiing tracks are out of use and covered with plastic. The city empties waste bins less frequently in the winter, as some of the maintenance staff are tied up in snow removal. The waste bins must also be dug up from under the snow, which further slows down the emptying process.
The covered bins are mainly located along recreational routes and skiing tracks that are less frequently ploughed than street areas. Depending on the weather, the waste bins are covered from November until the end of March.
We kindly ask you to only use the available waste bins. We will not be able to clean up the surroundings of all the covered waste bins during the winter season.
