Voluntary evening lectures for guardians of 6–9th-graders
Two online events will be held for guardians of 6–9th-graders, one dealing with cultivating compassion in a family and the other with substance abuse prevention. The purpose of the events is to provide guardians with useful information for different situations. Both events will be held in Finnish.
Cultivating compassion in a family (Kasvu myötätuntoiseksi perheeksi), organised by the Perhepolku project
How can I support a teenager with their challenging emotions? How do I strengthen a young person’s coping skills and sense of self-compassion?
Welcome to our online parents’ evening organised via Teams on 7 March from 18:00 to 19:30. Join the event by clicking this(external link) link.
Our aim is to provide guardians with information, peer support and tools for dealing with young people’s challenging emotions and for strengthening their coping skills and sense of self-compassion.
You do not have to introduce yourself or have your camera on at the event.
During the event, we will share information and discuss issues through anonymous family stories. Participants will be able to comment and share their views anonymously online through the Flinga discussion platform. At the end of the event, you can give feedback by taking an online survey.
Welcome!
Best regards,
