The student flats in Olari are in such poor condition that they will be demolished and blocks of flats will be built on the plot. In Finnoo, a plot for a block of flats located near the new metro station is up for sale.

The City of Espoo will sell two plots for blocks of flats on the street Avaruuskatu in Olari. The empty and derelict HOAS student flats on the plot will be demolished and blocks of flats will be built on the plot.

The plots will be sold to the highest bidder. The buyer is responsible for demolishing the current buildings.

Non-subsidised owner-occupied flats that are sold to private consumers must be built on the plots. The plots being sold have a total of 12,500 floor square metres of permitted building area. The combined square area of the plots is about 8,600 square metres. The maximum height for a block of flats on the smaller plot is five storeys and for the larger plot it is six storeys.

The plots are located near the services of Kuitinmäki. The good traffic connections of the area include public transport. The nearest metro station is located in the shopping centre Iso Omena which lies about 1.5 kilometres away from the plots.

Since the plots are located along Kuitinmäenraitti, the central pedestrian connection to Kuitinmäki, the ground floors of the blocks must also house commercial, service and office premises.

The bid must be submitted at 12 on 31 January 2023, at the latest. Further information about the plots and participating in the competitive bidding is available on the website of the City of Espoo.

The square area of the plot is about 2,200 square metres. The permitted building volume is 3,800 floor square metres and the blocks can be eight storeys high.

A bid can be submitted by an individual operator or a group. The plot will be sold to the highest bidder.

The bid must be submitted at 12 on 31 January 2023, at the latest. Further information about the plot and participating in the competitive bidding is available on the website of the City of Espoo.
