Early childhood education in summer
Please enter your child's absences for the whole summer and attendance for July by 1 May 2022.
From 4 July to 31 July 2022, some day-care centres will be closed and early childhood education will be provided centrally in certain units only. In order to make plans for the summer, we need to know your child's needs for early childhood education during the summer.
Please enter your child's absences for the whole summer and attendance for July in the eVaka(external link, opens in a new window) calendar by 1 May 2022.
Absences
- Enter your child's absences no later than 1 May 2022 for the period 4 July to 10 August 2022 in the eVaka calendar.
- In July, you can only enter temporary absences in eVaka, for example if your child falls ill or takes an extra day off.
Attendance
- Please enter your binding attendance reservations for the period 4 to 31 July 2022 in eVaka by 1 May 2022. Attendance reservations for July cannot be changed in the eVaka calendar after this date.
- If you are not yet able to determine the exact attendances for July, you can make provisional bookings in the eVaka calendar and later announce changes to your child's group. Then you can use, for example, the eVaka messaging feature.
- For June and August, attendance reservations are not yet required, but are normally made by 6 pm on the Monday of the previous week.
If necessary, remember to cancel your early childhood education for July
If your child does not need early childhood education in July, please cancel by 17 June 2021. You can cancel using the form available at the day care centre or by sending a message to the director of the early childhood education unit.
For uncancelled and unused places in July, we charge half the normal monthly fee. If the income-based fee is €0/month, the actual fee will be €13.50.
Termination of early childhood education
Guardian can now also terminate the early childhood education in eVaka if the child no longer needs an early childhood education place.
