Espoo Hobby Path to organise an information session on the tendering of service providers on 17 February
The call for service providers for the Espoo Hobby Path will be launched in March. Before that, join us at 9.00–10.30 on 17 February for an information session to find out how you can become a service provider for the Espoo Hobby Path to provide free hobbies for children and young people at their own school or in its vicinity on school days.
The Hobby Path will be extended to all 89 schools in Espoo during 2022, and the aim is to have more than 200 active hobby groups. As a service provider, you will become part of a large network and gain visibility for your activities, new participants and compensation for your work.

Become a service provider for the Espoo Hobby Path
The operators will be selected through a two-stage tendering process.
- Sign up as a service provider. You can sign up to the register of service providers during March. The first stage does not involve committing to any order volumes yet.
- Respond to invitations to tender. In the second stage, candidates can submit tenders for mini competitions for hobby groups, invitations for which will be sent to the registered service providers.
The Finnish model for leisure activities
The aim of the Finnish model for leisure activities is to support the well-being of children and young people by enabling every child and young person to have a leisure activity in connection with the school day that they enjoy and is free of charge. The range of activities on offer is organised according to the wishes of children and young people. The operating model is being designed, built and tested together with the providers of the activities.
The Espoo Hobby Path implements the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Finnish model for leisure activities in Espoo.
The website of the Finnish model for leisure activities(external link, opens in a new window) offers plenty of useful information to service providers (in Finnish).
