Pasi Timo appointed as the director of the Environment and Building Control Department

Pasi Timo will start as the director of the Environment and Building Control Department.

The City Board of Espoo has appointed Pasi Timo, M.Sc. (Eng.), as the director of the Environment and Building Control Department. Timo is currently working as the acting director of the Environment and Building Control Department. Prior to this, he has worked, since December 2019, as the deputy director of building control in Espoo’s Building Control Department, which became part of the new Environment and Building Control Department in August. Before coming to Espoo, Timo worked in building control in Vantaa. 

In the city’s organisational reform, the former Environment Department, Building Control Department and Environmental Health Services were merged into the Environment and Building Control Department, which is part of the Urban Environment Sector. The new department has approximately 120 employees. 

The director of the Environment and Building Control Department is responsible for the operations, finances, personnel resources and customer relationship management of the new profit centre, as well as for the development of customer service.
