Personnel changes in the Cultural Unit
PhD Mari Hatakka has been chosen as the Deputy Manager of Event and Cultural Services of Espoo. As of 1 September, Ritva Nyberg is the Director of Espoo Library Services.
PhD Mari Hatakka has been chosen as the Deputy Manager of Event and Cultural Services of Espoo. As Manager of Event and Cultural Services, Hatakka is responsible for the operations, finances and personnel of Espoo cultural houses. Hatakka took up her post on 1 September 2021 and will replace Lea Rintala until the end of 2023.
Rintala started on 1 September as Project Manager for KulttuuriTapiola and City Events. Her responsibilities include representing the user perspective in the Cultural Centre’s renovation and expansion project, the development of WeeGee, Espoo Day and Espoo’s 50th anniversary.
As of 1 September, Ritva Nyberg is the Director of Espoo Library Services. Nyberg has a solid knowledge of Helmet libraries, and she has cooperated over the years a lot with Espoo people while working in Vantaa City Library for almost 25 years in different positions.
