Nature Forum 2025

Nature Forum 2025 was held in Espoo on 5 September 2025. Nature Forum 2026 will be organised by the City of Lahti.

Nature Forum 2025 – for the love of nature

What concrete solutions are being made in Finland for a nature-positive world? How is halting the loss of biodiversity linked to business, research, urban planning and strategies, as we head towards 2030? What are cities doing to reinforce biodiversity?

This is what Nature Forum 2025 is all about. Nature Forum is a platform for cooperation that accelerates sustainable changes in society. It's an opportunity to influence, network, and discover cooperation possibilities that turn words into actions.

Nature Week, celebrated around the Nature Forum, offers nature-themed activities and experiences for everyone. Explore the program below!

Nature Forum and City Declaration

The first Nature Forum was held on 11 September 2024 in Tampere, where the leaders of Finland’s ten largest cities signed a historical declaration to halt biodiversity loss. The declaration was updated at Nature Forum 2025. In addition, a cooperation document between large cities and the Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries RT to enhance biodiversity was signed.

Main event 5 September
