Independence Day Gala Concert
Espoo’s Independence Day concert will be organised once again at the Espoo Metro Arena
The Independence Day concert, which has become an important tradition for the citizens, will be organised at the Espoo Metro Arena on Tuesday, 6 December 2022.
The concert, full of great emotions, touching interpretations and shared joy, will be organised for the 23nd time. You can come and enjoy the concert at the arena or you can enjoy the joy of music at home via live streaming.
The stars of the event will be Susanna Heikki and Aarne Pelkonen. We will hear Tapiola Sinfonietta conducted by Kristian Sallinen and Tapiolan kuoro conducted by Pasi Hyökki. The Independence Day celebration will begin with the awarding of the Espoo medals. These medals have been awarded for work done for Espoo since 1972.
Live streaming allows participation in the event for people at home and living in different kinds of communities, such as residential care homes. The recording of the concert will be available until 5 January 2023. The concert can be viewed free of charge on a computer, tablet or smartphone, for example.
City Events Espoo is in charge of the event production. Changes may be made to the programme.
Ticket sales will start on 7 November
