The Independence Day concert, which has become an important tradition for the citizens, will be organised at the Espoo Metro Arena on Saturday, 6 December 2025.
The program combines classical and popular music. The stars of the event will be Suvi Teräsniska, Yasmine Yamajako and Tapiola High School Chamber Choir. We will hear The Polytech Orchestra conducted by Vuokko Lahtinen.
The Independence Day celebration will begin with the awarding of the Espoo medals. These medals have been awarded for work done for Espoo since 1972.

The concert will be streamed live at Yle Areena: Suorana suomalaisilta(external link, opens in a new window). Live streaming allows participation in the event for people at home and living in different kinds of communities, such as residential care homes.
