Right-of-occupancy apartments

Right-of-occupancy housing is an intermediate form between rental housing and owner-occupied housing. Right-of-occupancy housing is state-subsidised housing. If you are interested in a right-of-occupancy apartment, you have to apply for a queue number after which you can apply for the apartments that you are interested in from the owners of the right-of-occupancy buildings. Once you have been offered an apartment and approved as a resident, you have to pay the owner of the apartment a right-of-occupancy fee and a monthly residence charge.

There are approximately 6,400 right-of-occupancy apartments completed or under construction in Espoo.

As of 1 September, new queue numbers are available through ARA.(external link, opens in a new window)
