European Week of Sport
European Week of Sport is celebrated all over Europe every year on September 23-30. In Finland, School Action Day is organized during the week. It is the biggest sports event for school students in Europe and the place varies between Espoo, Vantaa and Helsinki.School Action Day in Espoo on 24 September 2026
This year, the City of Espoo will organise the School Action Day children’s sports event of the #BeActive European Week of Sport at Leppävaara Sports Park. The project is a collaboration between the Finnish National Agency for Education and the cities of Helsinki and Vantaa.
The School Action Day event offers students in grades 3–9 in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area an opportunity to explore a wide range of sports at the sport stations of sports and exercise clubs and sports associations.
