Glims Farmstead Museum
Glimsintie 1, Karvasmäki
Glims offers a slice of rural tranquility in the heart of Espoo. The Glims Farmstead Museum is a historic farm and a living museum where you can experience demonstrations, guided tours and events connected to the traditional rural yearly cycle. In summer, you can admire the museum grounds with their farm animals and heritage crops – and you might even spot a flock of chickens wandering by. Pentala Archipelago Museum
Pentala 44, Pentala Island (accessible by archipelago boat)
The Pentala Archipelago Museum is an ideal summer day destination, showcasing the very best of maritime Espoo. A visit to the museum is a full experience combining a boat trip, history, cultural landscape and the distinctive nature of Pentala Island. Exhibition Centre WeeGee
Ahertajantie 5, Tapiola
The Exhibition Centre WeeGee is a versatile hub of museums, exhibitions and events. It houses EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art(external link, opens in a new window), KAMU Espoo City Museum and a Mauri Kunnas exhibition, which always offer free admission for under 18-year-olds and on Fridays from 15:00 to 19:00 for all visitors.
Leikki – The Museum of Play
Ahertajantie 3, Tapiola
Museum Leikki is a special museum dedicated to play, toys and childhood. Its exhibitions explore Finnish childhood through a variety of themes. Come and experience the special exhibition Time Travel Adventure 1950 – Childhood and Youth Then, Now and in the Future as well as the miniature exhibition Half an Acre of History – The Legacy of Winnie-the-Pooh. The Finnish Museum of Horology and Jewellery Kruunu
Ahertajantie 3, Tapiola
Did you know that Kruunu in Tapiola is the only museum in the Nordic countries specialising in clocks and jewellery? Come and discover the museum’s collections in the popular exhibition The Hidden Handprint, or dive into the life’s work donation made in 2018 by goldsmith and designer Tony Granholm to the Finnish Museum of Horology. Live music and summer event highlights
- Midsummer in the city? Espoo offers great options: head to the Kivenlahti Midsummer celebration or relax by the sea at the Pentala Archipelago Museum, which is open throughout Midsummer.
- WeeGee Live concerts are back! The free June performances at the WeeGee Exhibition Centre feature artists such as Sonia, Asla Jo, Superposition and Modem.
- Kino Tapiola’s terrace jazz brings joy all summer long. Concerts take place from 6 pm to 8 pm every third Friday until early September. Check detailed schedules and performers on Kino Tapiola’s website (in Finnish)(external link, opens in a new window).
- The Villa Elfvik Sings concert series brings bird and music enthusiasts to the atmospheric Villa Elfvik. Explore and register for the free concerts on Villa Elfvik’s website.

- The traditional summer concert by the Espoo Folk Musicians takes place at Vindängenhall on 10 June – free entry!
- The year 2026 marks Espoo’s fourth year as an official Working with Pride partner of Helsinki Pride, and this is reflected in the cultural events as well. The programme includes drag, stand-up, Pride-themed exhibitions and guided tours, the Espoo Bay Pride event and much more! You can find all Espoo Pride events compiled on this page.
Summer holiday activities at libraries
The library welcomes summer holiday visitors to relax and have a good time. Libraries offer a wide range of events throughout the summer: explore musical instruments, play games, do crafts or watch films. You can find all library events here.
