Espoo Ciné International Film Festival 2026

Espoo Ciné International Film Festival will be held once again at the end of August, from August 21 to 30, 2026!

The cozy Kino Tapiola serves as the home theatre for Espoo Ciné, and screenings are also held throughout Espoo and Helsinki. Annually, the festival's high-quality film selection includes captivating new movies from both domestic and international sources.

The full program will be released on Thursday, July 30, and tickets for individual screenings will go on sale on Tuesday, August 4. As a new feature for 2026, the festival launches Cinéstesia — a festival strand dedicated to the intersections between cinema, visual arts, and artists’ moving image practices. The programme brings together a curated selection of both contemporary and archival screenings, a professional cross disciplinary seminar, and collaborative exchange to strengthen global networks within the moving image field. The Junior Ciné film festival for children and young people will also be held as usual this year. The 2026 festival begins on August 25 and runs through September 11. For more information about Junior Ciné: juniorcine.fi
