Organisation

The administrative organisation of the City of Espoo consists of the Mayor's Office and sectors which are ruled by city council, city board, committees and boards.

The city’s administrative organisation consists of the Mayor’s Office and two sectors. Their activities are supervised by the decision-making bodies: the City Council, the City Board, committees and boards.

Some of the city units are public utilities and separate balance sheet units. The city’s balance sheet units are Suurpelto, Tapiola and funds.

Corporate Group of Espoo

Together with affiliated companies, foundations, joint municipal authorities and associated corporations the city proper forms a corporate group.

A subsidiary is a community where the City of Espoo holds more than 50 percent of voting power.

An affiliated community is a community where the City of Espoo holds 20–50 percent of voting power.
