Development and training of data models for master planning
The Tykki project for the development and training of data models for master planning creates the prerequisites for producing development plan data that is in line with the national plan data model and transferring the data to the Ryhti information system(external link, opens in a new window). In addition to Espoo, the project includes the cities of Helsinki, Tampere and Vaasa. The project will develop an open-source QGIS software solution and create instruction and training material to deploy it. In addition, the project will involve improving the quality of the existing master plan materials of the partner cities.
More extensive societal benefits through development
More extensive societal benefits through development The development efforts of the projects will also benefit other Finnish municipalities, as they will be able to utilise the results of the development free of charge. The open-source solution developed in the Tykki project will also be a cost-effective solution for courses in higher education institutions and for consultancy offices in the field.
