The amendment to the local detailed plan pertains to the school and daycare centre next to Kehä I’s Mäkkylän puistotie junction in Mäkkylä. Due to noise and air quality regulations, the current activities cannot be continued in the area in the future. The school and daycare centre buildings will be demolished and replaced with wooden residential blocks of flats. A plot of land will also be allocated for a supermarket at the corner of Mäkkylän puistotie and Mäkkyläntie. City Council has approved the plan 12.12.2022.
