Town planning of the Vassholm area
Local detailed plansMatinkyläBased on the work on the district plan, detached houses and residential blocks of flats linked to the Storhemt residential area will be included in the local detailed plan. Recreational and protected areas supplementing the Keskuspuisto park will also be allocated in the local detailed plan. In the south, the border of the planning area is on Salinpellontie, and in the east, on Kyläsepäntie. The plan proposal will be available for public review in spring 2026.

Background information
Previous plans focused on the area as part of the detailed plans for Suurpelto IV and Suurpelto V. The City Planning Committee approved the plan proposals on 17 January 2012, but the City Board returned them to the planning process on 25 March 2019 for feasibility improvements.
