Syvänsalmenkatu, Lapintilankatu ja Hyljetie street plan

A new combined pedestrian and bicycle path will be built on the southern side of Syvänsalmenkatu at chainage 135–210. A turning point will be built both in the middle and at the end of the street. On the western part of the street, pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be on the roadway or alternatively on the Lapinsarka walkway. On-street parking is being built on the southern side of the street.

A new combined pedestrian and bicycle path will be built on the southern side of Lapintilankatu at chainage 10–110. A turning point will be built both in the middle and at the end of the street. On the eastern part of the street, pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be on the roadway or alternatively on the Lapinsarka walkway. On-street parking is being built on the southern side of the street.

Two raised pedestrian crossings will be built on Hyljetie. On-street parking is being built on both the right and left sides of the roadway. A separated pedestrian and bicycle path will be built on the eastern side of the street. There will be street trees along the street.

Construction

The streets will be built in accordance with the street plans after the building construction projects have been completed, provided that Meritie has been built. In connection with the construction of Meritie, Syvänsalmenkatu will be raised to its final elevation. According to estimates, the improvement of the pedestrian and cycling routes on Syvänsalmenkatu will start in 2026 after the construction project on plot 31154-1 has been completed.
