The City of Espoo's Centre for Urban Technology has started drafting street plans for Sotaneuvoksentie and Mäkkylänmutka. The street plans will make it possible to build streets according to the zoning plan and improve stormwater management in the area.

The city of Espoo organized a resident walk for the owners of properties on Sotaneuvoksentie and Mäkkylänmutka regarding the street planning on June 2, 2026. The purpose of the resident walk was to take into account the special features of the area together with the residents and planners.

The draft plan will be available for viewing on the otakantaa.fi service from August 17 to 30, 2026. On the site, residents and those concerned can comment on the drafts for two weeks. Here’s a link to the otakantaa.fi service.(external link, opens in a new window)

After the draft phase, the finalized street plan proposal will be displayed for viewing in the fall of 2026. Notification of the viewing will be sent separately to the parties concerned by mail.
