Savipolku, Rantaradanbaana between Läntinen Jokitie and Vadetinportti, draft park plan
ParksEspoon keskusA section of Rantaradanbaana is being planned between Läntinen Jokitie and Vadetinportti in the Mikkelänpelto park area. Rantaradanbaana will run roughly where the Savipolku park path is now located. It will be widened to provide a convenient and safe route with separate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists.

Design
The existing Mikkelänsilta bridge has reached the end of its life cycle and will be demolished. A new bridge, Mikkelänpellonsilta, will be built across the Espoonjoki river. It is estimated that the construction of Rantaradanbaana and the new bridge and HSY’s water services renovation project in the area will take place in 2027.
The draft park plan is available for comments on the Otakantaa.fi website(external link, opens in a new window) from 4 to 18 December 2025.
