Refurbishment of the residents' park of Soukka

The area of the planning is in the Puropuisto park in Soukka. The park plan concerns basic improvements of the residents’ park of Soukka. The design work focuses on the yard areas of the residents’ park, but it is also considered as part of the surrounding park area. 

The residents’ park is located in the central part of the park area and is surrounded by an apartment building area in Soukka, which was built in the 1970s. The park has cultural environmental values, and its original designer is Maj-Lis Rosenbröijer. At the beginning of the design work, a brief historical review will be prepared and the original park plan will be clarified. 

During the park planning, several opportunities will be organized to participate in the park design. In the spring of 2026, we will focus on the current state of the residents’ park and the observations of the park users. You can participate in April at the residents’ park premises using the project wall. In autumn 2026, we will organize a workshop in the residents’ park, focusing on the designs of the new park. Information about participation opportunities will be announced in advance in the residents’ park communications. 

The park plan is scheduled to be completed in late 2026. The construction schedule of the project is not yet established.
