Refurbishment of the Hyljelahdenkenttä sports field
ParksEspoonlahtiThe Espoo Public Works Department is planning a refurbishment of the Hyljelahdenkenttä sports field in collaboration with the Espoo Sports and exercise unit.

The refurbishment will transform the current field, which has a rock dust-surface, into a sand artificial turf field, suitable for playing baseball and football. The field's winter ice skating use will be improved by installing an artificial ice pipe system in the field. The field's fences will be renewed and housing for the artificial ice cooling system and ice care machine will be placed inside the privacy fence next to the field. In addition, a running straight, a basketball shooting area, and asphalt markings for play and exercise will be implemented in the area.
The plan draft will be updated to this project page and the otakantaa- service during week 24.
