Design
New park paths are being planned in the park, which will partly follow the existing paths. The alignment of the paths will be made taking into account the existing trees and terrain as much as possible. The planned park paths will improve pedestrian and cycling connections to the center of Kalajärvi. In addition, new pedestrian crossings are being planned for Isonkorventie where the paths meet the street.
The draft park plan can be commented on at the otakantaa.fi website from 19.5 to 1.6.2026.
After the draft phase, the draft park plan proposal will be approved and interested parties will be informed of the decision.
The construction phase of the park paths is in 2027 at the earliest.
